Franco-Prussian War 54mm sculpts – Prussian Line at trail

This is my first 54mm (really more like 60mm) figure and it was a lot of fun. You can really get nice detail at this scale.

Notice the right hand, which will be holding the rifle, is not done as I hope to get the Dreyse Needle Gun rifle cast up before I permanently attach it.

Some of my favorite Prussian poses. Many of the Carl Rochling paintings feature Prussian infantry advancing en masse in these types of poses.

Note the yellow stuff to get a few of them to stand up properly. I’m not quite sure if I should “fix” this or not as I like the extreme look of them leaning forward when advancing as if they are in motion like in so many of these great paintings.

This Prussian artillery crew is based on an Ernst Zimmer drawing that I really like.

It will eventually include another officer with binoculars.

These still need work. The Prussian on the left will have more work done on his sword as well as details like pistol, sashes, and binocular cases, etc…
